Centaurs are asteroids with several properties in common, one of which is that they travel from deep regions of our solar system to within the orbit of Jupiter. They are similar to comets but are larger. The first Centaur discovered was Chiron in the year 1977. Chiron was first thought to be a kind of planet, but is now considered a Centaur by most astronomers. Now you might be thinking "Oh, gosh! More teensy things to consider in my horoscope. Doesn't the chart have enough going on as it is?" Consider that astrologers use one planet, Venus, to describe the vast areas of love, art, and beauty in our lives. The asteroids add depth and detail to the astrological analysis, enabling us to see more specific issues. When the first Centaur, Chiron, came to our attention, he was greeted with mixed feelings. Some, considering this body very difficult to define (planet, asteroid, comet?), saw it as a nuisance. Others remained sure of his importance. It would appear that those astrologers possessed a vision of better things to come. Ultimately, Chiron emerged as a potent teacher, healer, shaman leading us all through previously unremovable wounds whether psychological or spiritual. His urging to fully invest the spirit in the body and involve oneself in life now stands as the leading wave of soulful healing. His demonstration of the essentiality of relationship between body and spirit now stands accepted, intact and most importantly, significant in all of our personal healing efforts. Now Chiron has five named Centaur siblings: Pholus, Nessus, Asbolus, Chariklo and Hylonome. Suggestions exists for yet another named body, Pylenor, which is awaiting astronomical nomenclature protocols. Ultimately, all the other Centaurs will receive names as well. Each Centaur appears with a solution to a common social malady of today's complicated society and associated psychological and psychic backlash. The integration of these bodies provides us with simple, consciousness-oriented ceremonies and healing techniques to enhance our coping skills. The Centaurs restore our sensibilities - literally, our ability to use our senses, emotions and body perceptions - ranging from an instinctive nose to chill bumps - thereby increasing our humanness. In a time when the array of electronic communication and technology decreases our sentient involvement in our lives, the Centaurs appear to restore our senses and sensibilities. The Centaur clan offers valuable attributes in our everyday life, psychological healing and spiritual growth. Consider the powerful remedies offered by these bodies: Chiron - healing psychic wounds of rejection, restoring spirit to body Pholus - overcoming substance abuses, restoring peacefulness of spirit, use of daily ritual Nessus - defining need and want in money and relationships with healthy balance Asbolus - development of and use of full intuitive faculties Chariklo - assessing personal boundaries, both psychologically and energetically Hylonome - healing grief and regret As you welcome the primal gathering of Centaurs into your horoscope, you will enjoy enhanced awareness of emotion, passion for life, quest for purpose and sensorial reactions to all situations. Saddle up and ride these tiny, yet potent, bodies, for a celestial journey to self understanding, compassion and well being. Enjoy! Chapter 1: Chiron For those people feeling rejected by parents and carrying that banner throughout life, relief is near. Should you be sensing wounds that simply will not leave no matter what is done, a solution stands near. And if feelings of displacement, alienation and disconnection prevail within yourself, the healer has arrived. Soon, with use of the essence of this relatively new healer, Chiron, the way clears for a stronger sense of self with spirit invested in body. This sense of self works to reestablish healthy relationships with others. Chiron was the wounded healer, or the healer who wounds. His mode of healing works to bring up the hidden issues, overcome denial, offer penance, then go on in greatness. He was one of the immortals, with a god as a father who rejected the son. The mother disowned him because of his ugliness (half man, half horse). With no place to go, Chiron became an avid learner studying with the great ones, devouring all knowledge. Accidentally wounded at an event using ceremonial wine unceremoniously, his immortality became a liability as the healer could not heal his own wound. He persisted in life feeling pain that he, the healer, could not heal. His pain includes parental rejection, unworthiness and in today's terms, soul loss. Chiron opted to end the eternal pain at all costs. He took a voluntary task in the underworld, coming out with the ability to ascend to the heavens as granted by Zeus (Jupiter). He represents being able to take on healing directly, clearly and intently. He symbolizes our willingness to go into the caves of consciousness and examine our nature. He grieves, then heals. This powerful healer comes before us encouraging the clearing of all things within our psyche. After this occurs the path opens for our spirits to fully fuse with our physical being. Chiron Square Saturn: So you just want to be loved. You and the rest of humankind. Oddly, what you perceive as indications of not being loved actually come under the heading of discipline and guidance intended to be nurturing. Your view was that your support system took a very heavy hand in your direction. But did they? Do you find yourself replicating this same discipline cycle as you seek to mobilize sagging efforts in your life? Perhaps the lack of recognition you experienced did not indicate rejection or disavowal. Now, though, it's time to seek out the silent teacher. Find the one who sits with you (and this could mean sitting with your own sense of inner authority) as you engage fully the task of attentive contemplation. This activity engages the wise part of yourself. You end up receiving your own guidance while supported by another. The specialty you now have to offer others is the ability to hear the emotional venting of others without the need to comment. This attribute might be the ultimate nugget of support. Chiron Sextile Neptune: Your mind wanders in and out of various mental or spiritual domains. In these places many ideas come to you. You might get, "If I did a daily cleansing of my aura, I'd have more energy." The realization would be true. The difficulty would be application. For you, understanding the difference of density of dimensions provides the first step of resolution. The thought of the vison is less dense than talking about your grand vision. Telling someone else your vision remains less dense than enacting it. While you remain resistant to full involvement in the real physical world, you still live here. So whatever ideas you get for cleansing, healing and a better spirit-body connection, go for it. If you actually do the cleansing you envision you'll feel exponentially better than if you imagined doing it. This brings up the theological agenda of thought, word and deed. And it's true. Each level counts but in different density. But the richer the involvement the fuller the result. Who knows, you might actually get to like it here on this planet. Then you can assist others in strengthening their own connections between real and ethereal. Chiron Trine Pluto: You probably take on the role as trickster for yourself. Periodically you'll test yourself and your spiritual limits. It seems to feed your fire to know you possess transformational gifts. Consider that once gravity is verified, dropping additional apples to prove it only bruises the fruit. While knowing the ability to regenerate and restore your spirit, accept it without taking it for granted. But instead of creating fabricated challenges why not just drift into the core of the Earth from time to time to see its connection with Heaven? This brilliant maneuver opens unlimited portals of personal awareness. You develop and use imaginative, powerful and effective tools of healing. Enjoy them. Let them produce ecstacy and joy in your life. Once fully aware of all aspects of these tools, add them to professional tool box. And always remove your tools for use with care. You are part of a mini-generation whose job it is to share the wonders of shifting the small change ego into the major realms of fully sensing the big cache of the soul. Chapter 2: Pholus Perhaps a sense of listlessness in life encourages one to eat too much or too little. Maybe even taking on alcohol or other substances as a substitute for contentment becomes the way one copes. The Centaur Pholus appears to remind us of what it is that actually lies beneath these physical urges to compensate or over-compensate in life. Pholus appears at just the right time to remind people of the needs of spirit. While he signifies everything about food and drink, he also stresses the idea that all things intending to nurture our beings remain powerful ceremonies. Pholus indicates diet patterns, especially methods of cooking and even the type of diet including carnivorous or vegetarian ways. His attitude toward drink, most especially alcohol, insists that it be offered ceremoniously. The custom of toasting with wine (or whatever is the alcohol of choice) comes from Pholus. Blessing food symbolizes a Pholus thought. He represents use or abuse of all physical substances, alcohol being the most significant of his concerns. Ultimately Pholus reminds us of the need to fill our daily lives with those things that are good - and only good - for us. He establishes awareness of necessary limits and requirements. He goes even further in that he offers the reminder (and often a stern one) that your daily routine must include your spiritual drill: saying grace, toasting, a daily meditation, smudging, ceremonial cleansing or whatever comes under his wise and watchful eye. Should things feel out of sorts, offer simpler, reverent acts every day. Watch the restlessness subside and the sense of well being begin. Pholus Quincunx Asc.: Your senses desperately try to inform you of the reality of your present situation. Rely upon your instincts. Avoid having others badger you into submitting into a circumstance you know cannot have a favorable outcome. You can be induced, with something that appears to be logic, to falter in the face of incorporating all your natural insights. Since your pacifistic nature seeks to prevail, consider maintaining peace with your good wits and wisdom. Be aware of your tendency to relentlessly encourage others to do something that might be gratifying in the moment, but less than pleasing tomorrow. While persuasive, your best ventures come when you perfectly comply with the guidance you receive. Make no exceptions to your greatest principles. Also ensure others do not provoke you into violating your precepts. Whenever confronted with a crossroad, decision or difficulty, return to what you naturally know. Retreat into the sanctity of your own sacred space. Create whatever ceremony you need to offer insight, align your energies and connect your spirit's will back with your human instincts. Pholus Sextile N. Node: When teaching the important life lessons of well being, you might want to attend to the motivations of those approaching your guidance. Filter out those without clear intent. Leave behind those who seek gratification without awareness. Make sure the hedonists do not board your bus. But you might wonder about the judgment implied in such determinations. Go with your feelings. Observe the cues these people give. If you're unsure, ask for a demonstration. Should you be leading a mountain climbing trek up a summit of several miles, it's not unreasonable to ask a potential candidate to climb the imitation rock wall in the sporting goods store. Once you know the stepping pattern of these people, you know if they can stay on the path. Do recall that your job in the matter is to apply all the basic steps within each forward stride you take in your life. You cannot watch all the steps of others. Chapter 3: Nessus It's been said that money and sex are only important when you don't have them. Whether or not this is true is up for grabs. But what we can derive from this saying is that two issues of importance to the human spirit are money and sex. In fact, under extreme circumstances, people can be observed demonstrating the best and worst of human characteristics with these issues at hand. Witness the excited glow of a lottery winner. Look hard to see the collapsed aura of a person dealing with insurmountable debt. Examine the fractured aura of a lover rejected for a younger more attractive partner. Consider the radiant glow of someone newly in love. Watch what happens as people discover that they simply cannot live without a certain thing, economic status or the love person in their life. These issues receive impeccable clarification from the Centaur Nessus. Nessus refers to a level of desire that goes beyond need. Wanting more, coveting or even qualities of lust fall under his influence. Nessus refers to the two juicy areas of life: monetary matters and intimate relationships. He seeks out the things you unconsciously want but might not be able to articulate. He notes those things you feel you do not deserve, yet crave. First, though, he uncovers urges and desires that may not feel comfortable to your "I am a good person," belief system. But he transforms all negatives if given a chance. He works with you to ensure you enjoy the bounty of your relationship with healthy abundance. Nessus observes your financial state in life, then offers his position on what would really make you feel good in an unlimited way. Ultimately, Nessus' balance would be to have enough money not to need more and not so much that it consumes your time and thoughts. Nessus is a powerful healer. He insists that you open yourself to the realm of sensuality in life. Smell flowers, taste food, feel the air, enjoy touch, savor success and feel everything fully. He provides the ultimate in healing issues of converting poverty to abundance. He brings about the exchange of lust, shame and guilt for healthy physical enjoyment of life, whether explored intimately with another or in one's relationship with the Creator. Nessus Sextile Sun: You project a sense of ease in dealing with the real world. You also portray an uncanny effortlessness as you glide through your personal love life. Despite these attributive things, the flip side allows you to be seen in a somewhat suspect manner. "After all," others think, "what gives you the right to be so cool and carefree?" There's always the idea of good karma. But in case that seems too illusive, consider the good natured attitude with which you approach getting your needs sustained in life. You know you cannot take what others will not give. Therefore, you foster a sense of generosity, sharing and cooperation within every fiber of your essence. People notice this. They respond to the good energy you emanate. Your approach is simple. Stay clear, keep spirit in balance with life ensuring a healthy ego and treat others fairly. As obvious as this is to you, others miss the boat. Your job would be to pilot them to the luxury liner that life can be and show them how to board. Nessus Trine Saturn: With a scrutinizing eye for life's in-bounds/out-of-bounds chalk lines, you wander about seeking to create fair play everywhere you roam. No matter where you are, nor what you do, others appeal to you to share your point of view on what just happened. This expert witness ability of yours certainly holds court in your life, right? You know exactly what will work for you. You maintain an acute sense of what limits you hold over what you are willing to do. Given this strong sense, you reserve your rights to declare yes and no with insistence and gentle firmness. When it comes to work, you know how much is enough. You work to not exceed your abilities, time considerations and talents. In relational matters, the same holds true. You know what your emotional, intimate reserves allow you to do. You do not commit past your threshold of sensitivity prowess. Therefore, all your relations - work and love - tend to flow with greater ease than most people. Bear in mind that on your court of life you might not be able to see the adjacent court without distorting parallax. Of course, you have the presence of spirit to defer opinion under those conditions. Nessus Quincunx Neptune: You might be really good at reading energies, auras and detecting the agendas of others. The problem with this gift comes from pointing out your perceptions. You tend to track the shadows. This means you view the real motives of others. While claiming to travel the high road, you know if there's a flaw in the expansion of the awareness overpass underneath your feet. As you point it out, denial will be the probable reaction. In fact, since you saw it, this must be your issue. And maybe it is. Hopefully before you make any comment about anyone's issues, yours look shiny and good. If not, this retort forces you into checking the underbelly of the foundations of your life. Maybe or maybe not the other person will take your perceptions into account. Actually that's not important. The importance comes from fixing structural flaws of yet subtle appearance. These repairs cannot be a cosmetic fix. Illusions wane with time. Strong reenforcing repairs endure. In fact, your perception would be that upon repair it is as if there was never a flaw. Now look at your life with psychic engineering skills making other flaws nonexistent. Nessus Square Pluto: Creating a balance between extremes provides emotional and spiritual salvation. A trickster-like attitude would serve this configuration. While knowing the importance of money, a healthy disregard for its importance helps. One thing for sure, whenever in a situation of asking for a fee for services to be rendered, be very confident your asking price is ample. Otherwise, you find yourself losing energy as you fret over your misfortune. Develop an attitude of not testing yourself. Avoid extravagance in lean times. When times are good, fill your cave with goodies you can use on rainy days. In intimate relationships adopt similar views. Ask your partner for the kind of love you need. Specifically, declare the energy you need to feel invested, the intensity level and the unlimited sense of passion you seek to feel. Curb issues of jealousy with the preceding needs. In the meantime, you might be able to help others transform their lives. Chapter 4: Asbolus Ever have one of those moments in which you went against the flash of insight you received? Such situations become more glaring if life tosses back some sort of difficulty, like exactly the one of which you were forewarned. When you feel like leading the charge up some sort of symbolic mountain to take on a perilous task, do you ever ponder what the outcome might be? Asbolus, another of our Centaur guides, represents the best in intuitive awareness. Asbolus reflects good counsel given and not heeded, or good advice received and not heeded. Usually the results of not heeding such input become immediately apparent. The urge to veto one of those insightful flashes falls under the visionary gaze of Asbolus. The insight just seemed to be a logical projection. There was nothing psychic about it. "What are the odds of that," Asbolus nudges again. The odds seem high at the moment. He urges absolute attentiveness to futuristic impressions. Stop while you're ahead. No need to take on challenges from an unnecessary argument or death-defying tasks, or push your personal limits. Back off, relax and contemplate. Asbolus further represents the loss of guidance or wisdom because of alcohol. He points out how judgment, physical and otherwise, degrades when intoxicated. His alternative would suggest that when life feels all-consuming, reinvoke a ceremonial situation to clear the mind. This effort restores strong judgment that supports the spirit and reinstates the intuitive faculties to full potency. Regardless, following intuition remains his determined influence. Asbolus Conjunct Mercury: Your intuitive funnel never ceases being open to the whispers coming in from enlightened places. You hear intuitive words. Maybe you sense psychic urges and probably smell them (literally) as well. The job you possess is one of translating this data into a supportive and encouraging warning system. Alert systems, by nature, operate within a negative context. You must convert them into positive assessments. Otherwise the messages you receive go unheeded. This remains especially true with yourself. Beyond mental impressions your work supports development of reading omens and separating real omens from fear-based games of psychic speculation. Hitting an owl on the highway falls into different interpretive importance than games of, "if the next six traffic lights stay green." The physical conditions of life need comprehension. Does your dead battery indicate not going to your intended destination? Or does it imply that you need daily attention to automotive life details? Regardless, perception, clarity and integration of mental impressions that may or may not be psychic becomes your ongoing chore - whether solely for yourself or others under your psychic umbrella. Asbolus Trine Jupiter: You're the one others seek out and ask the question, "would it be a good idea to pursue this desired course of action?" Instead of asking why they ask you, do to them what they do to you. Ask better questions. Start with, "Will this pursuit feed your soul?" Follow with, "Do you know how to do this?" "Can you learn how to do this?" Funny thing, you subject yourself to such inner interrogations without even realizing it. You come up with answers to unanswered questions. The instinctive part of you engages knowhow to which you have no exposure. You learn lessons no one teaches, presumably without going through the steps. Vicarious learning experiences sit high on your list of valued assets. You use the lessons of others with silent, effortless observation. You urge others to do the same. While others think this is your teaching ability, you hold a different view. No matter. The point is that your presence works like a crystal focusing the ever present light of awareness. Asbolus Conjunct Uranus: What are the odds that someone could be more intuitive than you? This would be rare indeed. Yet this pattern is generational. There's a lot of you tuned-in critters running around right now. And goodness knows, the rest of us need it. Perhaps you carry the insight of a more progressive society. Maybe past life memories blur your present life perceptions. Regardless, your impressions render alternatives not fitting the agenda of the status quo. You encourage others to go against the flow of lemurs blindly leaping over the edge. You encourage learning how to beat your own drum. When one thinks, perceives and reacts with the awareness of what the probabilities might be of specific outcomes, ingeniousness and responsibility operate together. By using insights that cause you to stay aligned with your own needs of spirit, you take the high road as revealed by the traffic cop nature of your soul. You also know this is not taking away all your fun. You know the agenda is: to protect and serve. To protect your spirit and to serve humanity just like you. Asbolus Trine MC: Insight and inspiration is your business. You know just how to give it to someone else, too. You realize that much of what you have to offer differs from their expected agenda. You're working to point out a smoother, less stressful course. This redirection, though beneficial, requires removing elements of emotional investment. So you get excited, enthused and inspired. You share the huge big picture you see, possibly in an embellished version. No matter. What can be perceived can be created. That still is your professional and personal dictum, is it not? So expand what could/should be imagined. This would bring a larger response. You might as well be surprised with the good that comes from your insights as much as those who receive them. Since insight and inspiration is your business, deliberately catching the crest of surging, inspired waves, expands your business. Can you imagine that? Asbolus Square N. Node: While you do gain glimpses of eventualities to come, do your best not to insist they evolve exactly as you see them. For instance, if you see someone having a car accident, casually asking about and supporting the effort of getting the brakes checked would be all that was required. To insist that something go awry despite efforts of resolution goes away from the belief in a benevolent Creator. Second chances ought to be part of your thinking. You get a second chance for rectification each time you become aware of a problem pattern and steer away from it. This allows you the instinctive ability to untangle your own personal ball of life twine. Straying away from the guidance granted you in stressful life configurations increases your frayed nerves and severed spirit. Your goal is to use the insights in a timely, clear manner. Avoid no message of higher origin. Of course, you would do well to not compare higher messages with logical thinking. Common sense just might be the triggering mechanism of real consciousness. You won't know this without devoted application. Chapter 5: Chariklo In today's world, the term "boundary" defines the receptivity we have to others or the resistance we put up to others. When encountering new people, what is your criteria for establishing connection? Does it work? If you are pushing away people you'd like to have in your life, perhaps resetting your boundaries is in order. If you're experiencing conflict with a friend, family member, co-worker, boss or your mate, perhaps redefining your boundaries would help. But where do you go for understanding these instinctive urges and reactions you're having to others? Help is at hand. Chariklo, the sea nymph wife of the powerful healer Chiron, connects you with your greater unconscious and soul urges. She represents your awareness of both your emotional and spiritual boundaries. And in so doing, she works to improve all your relationships by clarifying what is and what is not acceptable to your spirit. Your emotional boundary would be how close you permit another person to stand near you, whether consciously interacting or not. It would also show up as your claim of your physical and emotional needs from another person. She further represents your receptivity to the emotional claims/demands of others. The spiritual boundary carries the urge for divine kinship. Here you seek someone with common causes, inspired aspirations and shared views of the Universal - a real kindred spirit. These separate boundaries may or may not be the same dimension. And they might be different with every person you meet. Chariklo represents the qualities of compassion, tolerance and forgiveness in unlimited proportion. She questions intent and examines motivation in a gentle, curious manner. She encourages you to start with yourself. Check intent and motive. If it feels good, proceed. If it does not bring a warm sense within its midst, then make corrections. She bears the sacred marriage between body and soul. Chariklo represents the wedding known as the acceptance of one's spirit by the body. She offers soul retrieval and recovery, bonding ceremonies and energetic healing as her clarity-producing gifts. This clarity opens the doors for shedding the light of understanding toward all people. Then, you are clear to become a vehicle of helping others understand their own boundaries by your shining example. Chariklo Quincunx Sun: Your sensors quickly let you know where someone else stands with respect to you - especially in the world of energy. You sense each and every subtle vibrational emanation from those in your space. You react in a way that you feel lies in accord. Now your energy goes back at these people, probably amplified above and beyond the amount you feel coming from them. You now stand in the center of an increasing maelstrom of strange vibes. Should you feel that the approach others extend to you feels unjustified, imagine how they might react to your returning reaction. The key in this aspect comes from remembering the childhood song of "I'm rubber and you're glue..." If you were your own energetic mirror, how would you respond? To re-establish the sense of justice in the world, especially where matters of personality and ego remain involved, focus on the intent and density of your energy. Bring your own boundaries. Use your defined energy to respect others in the way you choose to be respected. Chariklo Opposition Venus: You often feel you get led into situations. This happens when people override your sensibilities with an onslaught of psychic energy big enough to choke an elephant. You often go with the plan. It might even seem like the thing to do. A few important points reside under this ramada-like roof of receptivity. First to consider, is it possible that this is where you really wanted things to end up? Did this interaction serve your needs? If so, honor this realization to ease your sense of being swept away. Second, did you engage in what you see as disadvantageous situations to yourself in the interest of helping the other person? If so, what does that make you? Co-dependence does not well define such complicated interactions. In truth, you might have, in some obscure, wise part of your psyche, realized that you chose to take on the role of healing facilitator in weird, wacky episodes. Truly, your essence offers comfort to others. That's why they charge at you with full interest. Take a moment in these tsunamis to determine what role you choose to play. Choice in these matters is everything. Choose well. Choose good. Choose your fulfillment - first. Chariklo Sextile Mars: Your soothing attributes are nothing short of walking up to an agitated wild animal causing it to yawn and mellow. Your basic energy offers consolation to the airwaves. Your style of approach pacifies tense standoffs with your mere presence. Better yet, you possess a portfolio of calming techniques that provide effective acts of resolution. Your perception of boundaries exceeds the norm. Within this, you clearly see the veracity of the energies combining between conflicting parties despite their verbal claims. Your skill comes in revealing physical acts that reduce the standing walls of stuck energy. Others expect you to come to the aid of any complicated or confused agenda between coworkers and in the relationships around you. Your aid is better than shaking hands, or kissing to make up. You instruct the participants how to restructure their energies. Then you send them back into the ring. Others expect you to use exceptional presentation of your energy as you seek them out to play a role in your life. In fact, they have grown to know and love this attribute of your spirited approach. Chariklo Square Saturn: Face the fact that you know when you're stepping over the line. Accept the fact that it is your decision to do so. The results you get from others strongly reflect the way you take these giant, potentially encroaching steps. The reactions reflect the energy you emit as you make your encounters close. There are rules that society follows. True, many of these rules hold antiquated agendas no longer relevant in our now sophisticated society. Consider whether your non-compliance rectifies the rules. Chances are if you go up against these rules, the reason they were created polarizes deeper into the subconscious mind of your co-participants and society. Seems like if you want the rules to change, you need to change them - not break them. Your challenge comes from recognizing what relational liabilities you see affecting you in the "rules." Point out the frailties with improved solutions. Use the solutions to set the new course. Follow this course with diligence, thoroughness and the richness of your tractable energy of confidence and credibility. Indeed, this puts ink to the paper for the new protocols to appear. Chapter 6: Hylonome When losses of life, failures or those things not attained override one's sense of hope, the Centaur Hylonome receives a request for appearance. Should the fiscal losses and relational despair feel overwhelming, call out to this feminine Centaur. When distraught over the ending of a relationship in which you had no control over the outcome, use Hylonome. Hylonome lost her mate during a Centaurian debacle. She was so distressed and unwilling to cope after his death, that she thrust herself on the spear that killed him. So, she appears in our lives not as an indication of hopelessness, but to provide the will to overcome the mountain of insurmountable grief. She appears to provide hope in the darkness of loss. She encourages grief, howsoever painful. She promises that if you let yourself feel the scary feelings of personal, emotionally thick endings, that you will, in time, feel relief. Whether consciously or not, persons with strong Hylonome aspects function as grief counselors. They offer hope and encouragement to all downtrodden sorts. Of course, to be able to render such precise care, they first must have shed the negativity of all losses perceived in their own life first. These people encourage rebuilding of self-esteem, repair diminished egos and point out a healthy spiritual self-sufficiency. Hylonome Sextile Mercury: You've mastered the idea that when this whole world starts getting you down, you know just what to do. Flood your mind. The flooding shower literally washes away thoughts that get in your way. "What do you use to flood your mind," you might wonder. Replacement thoughts. Like pouring glitter onto glue, some of the sparkling images stick. These sparkles represent the new, exciting ideas. Imagine force-feeding your brain. This is exactly that. If you can't stop thinking, "I'll never get out of debt," try replacing it with documented awareness of the fiscal progress you make each month. This could also occur with relationship assessment. Measure "miles traveled" instead of "distance to destination." Most significantly, consciously discipline the mind to overcome any thoughts of regret. Life turns on a Mercury dime. Negotiate the turn with your natural ability to see the good of the moment without dwelling upon former loss, misfortune or previous bad karma. Specialize in measuring the distance between karma and dharma - simply, causal fate versus acknowledged destiny. The difference measured depends upon where you stand. Attitude is a state line of the mind. Which state has less taxes? Hylonome Quincunx Mars: The urge to punish your feelings in the face of adversity does no good. You know this. Yet, at the time, no funnel exists into which you can pour the overload of emotion. If this makes sense, then in times of good feeling do serious work around the history you hold about rejection and emotional loss. Especially, focus upon any feelings of rage, hostility and aggression that surface with the realization that someone tampered with your precious sensitivities. You could redirect the anger you hold toward yourself at others. Somehow poking another person in the eye with a stick won't help. Assertion rewrites this tangled, poorly written action-adventure movie. In the first steps of any emotional interaction, clearly assert all your needs, desires and even demands. Create agreement between yourself and the other person before commencing any action. Then, as time goes by, the urges you feel will be the urges needed to fill the open-ended and mutually-agreed opportunities ahead. Hylonome Sextile Jupiter: You've always got a good idea for someone else's emotional twang. You know the right cup of tea, type of soup or gentle caress that makes the shift from suffering to release. You know that the nature of pain originates in holding to the hurtful emotion. So, you show up, render the relief and rebuild the belief system. Your grief-releasing attributes run in the mental and philosophical aqueducts of awareness. You know that with people who like to figure out their feelings that if you defeat their logic, they can evaporate the dilemma. You focus on creating an in-your-face contradiction of their basic beliefs. Once the flaw appears, then the fix becomes easier. Given these specialities in your consciousness, you can expect to be on call a major portion of the time. Seems like others will constantly appeal to your ability to iron out the thought and belief wrinkles. Take a moment before going out on a mental magic mission to ensure that all your tools sit in the proper place in your handy dandy fix-it kit. And iron your garb before hitting the road. Hylonome Sextile Uranus: "You can change your mind about what you feel," you offer. The other person rebels, "How can I change my mind about what I feel?" You return, "You can change your mind ABOUT what you feel, not change what you feel." "About" implies "around," which suggests surrounding the circled wagons of emotional fortification. Sooner or later the supplies run out. When fatigue sets in after a long battle with a feeling, a realization rises in the next dawn. An insight about how things got that conflicted and hurtful in the first place drops in for a look. You point out that many circumstances of emotional grief occur from a simple misunderstanding. True, and many other such situations come out of one person seeking to impose their will upon others. This implies no malicious intent. The assumption was made that the two persons interacting do so as soul mates. Soul mates imply complete and total emotional parity. This was not a solid assumption. The lack of exactness produces exactly the last feeling of discord in sensitivity. You offer the open hand to lead another person on the path with an open, non-assuming mind. A place in which emotional misunderstanding disappears. The relational wagon train, no longer needing the protection of its closed, nocturnal circle, naturally ventures toward new horizons without fear of threat.
